Why is the GP consultation free?
Your first consultation with a licensed general practitioner (GP) is genuinely free and without obligation. You only ever pay if you choose to go ahead with treatment, medication or a document, and you'll always see the price first. If the GP ever recommends a specialist, that consultation is a separate service, with the price shown before you decide.
Do I have to buy anything after the free GP consultation?
No. If advice is all you need, the consultation simply ends there, free. If the GP does recommend treatment, you decide: you see the exact price of the prescription and medication first, and if you'd rather not go ahead, you pay nothing.
Can you really deliver medication after an online consult?
Yes. After a video consultation, if our doctor prescribes medication, we arrange for it to be dispensed by a licensed pharmacy and delivered to your hotel or villa across Bali.
Am I going to talk to a real doctor?
Always. Your free first consultation is with a real, licensed, English-speaking general practitioner, and specialists are available when genuinely needed. Never a bot or a script.
How does it work?
Book a free GP video consultation, speak with a licensed general practitioner, and receive advice, usually within about 20 minutes. If you need medication or documents, we handle it and deliver to you.
Can you help if I can't bring my own medication into Bali?
Often, yes. Many medications are restricted at Indonesian customs. Rather than risk bringing your own, our doctors can assess you and, where appropriate, prescribe a locally-supplied equivalent that's delivered to you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We prefer digital payment: major international cards, direct bank transfer via Wise, and local payment methods. Rather pay cash? That works too, at two minimarket chains with branches all over Bali. You'll always confirm the price before any payment.
Can I use my travel or private health insurance?
We work on a pay first, claim back basis. You pay Bali Doc directly, and we provide everything your insurer typically needs: official receipts, a medical report and our registered company details. Bali Doc is a fully registered Indonesian healthcare provider, and patients routinely reclaim their costs with our paperwork.
